How much experience does Monica Mornay have?

Monica Mornay is a doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine and  joined TLC Acupuncture Woolloongabba in 2018.  Prior to this she has worked and studied within the health industry for over 20 years.  Monica has obtained a Bachelor of Health Science in Acupuncture at the The Endeavour College of Natural Health.  Prior to this Monica has studied internationally in the area of Psychology, Bioscience, raw food nutrition, homeopathy, Chinese remedial massage and advance Chinese medicine Pulse diagnosis.

Monica speaks fluent English and Romanian.

Areas of Special Interest

Monica, like all our practitioners, can treat a wide range of symptoms.  However, her real passion and advance training lies in the areas of neurological conditions (including paraesthesia, migraine, and other types of headache disorders) mental health (anxiety, panic attacks, depression, stress, PTSD) and sleep disorders.  Monica has a strong background and understanding of musculoskeletal conditions which helps her to identify and treat tightness and pain of all types.  In recent years Monica has also taken on advanced training in the areas of women’s health and fertility, labour inductions, digestive conditions and cosmetic acupuncture.

Why is Monica an Acupuncturist?

Monica’s interest in Chinese Medicine began as she received her first acupuncture treatments and found alleviation and healing of a long term complaint.  This made her change her focus from Western Medicine to Chinese medicine, dropping her nursing degree studies to pursue a career in Acupuncture.
