Before you book.
Does acupuncture hurt?
Acupuncture needles are roughly as thin as a strand of hair. Ten can fit inside the tip of a standard medical needle. Most patients describe the sensation as a light pressure or tingle, not pain.
How many sessions will I need?
It depends on what you’re treating. Your practitioner will discuss what to expect and map out a plan with you at your first visit.
Will my health fund cover it?
Most major Australian health funds offer rebates on acupuncture. We process claims on the spot, so you only pay the difference.
What happens at my first appointment?
We’ll talk through your health history and what’s brought you in, then move straight into your first treatment. Most initial visits run about an hour.
