- Effect of acupuncture on menstrual irregularities in women with polycystic ovary syndrome: a systematic review and meta-analysis: This meta-analysis, published in BMC Complementary Medicine and Therapies in 2019, examined the effects of acupuncture on menstrual irregularities in women with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). The study found that acupuncture significantly improved menstrual frequency and decreased levels of serum testosterone in women with PCOS.
- Acupuncture for the regulation of endocrine function in women with polycystic ovary syndrome: systematic review and meta-analysis: Published in Evidence-Based Complementary and Alternative Medicine in 2018, this systematic review and meta-analysis evaluated the effectiveness of acupuncture in regulating endocrine function in women with PCOS. The findings suggested that acupuncture may be beneficial in improving menstrual frequency and regulating hormone levels in women with PCOS.
