How much experience does Dr Caio Porto have?

Dr Caio Porto (pronounce Kie-o) is a Doctor of Chinese Medicine.  Caio left his busy practice in New Zealand and migrated to Australia to join TLC Acupuncture Clinic in 2025. He graduated from the New Zealand College of Chinese Medicine in Auckland with a Bachelor of Health Sciences, majoring in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine. In addition to acupuncture, he is a qualified Tui Na practitioner and used an integrative approach combining Eastern and Western medical perspectives into his consultations.

Dr Caio Porto is a AHPRA registered pracitioner.

Caio is an Italo-Brazilian practitioner fluent in Portuguese, English, and Spanish.

While he treats a wide range of conditions, his primary expertise lies in gynecology and obstetrics, particularly in helping women regulate their menstrual cycles and achieve fertility. He has guided hundreds of women to successful pregnancies and supported countless others through their hormonal health journeys, addressing conditions such as PCOS, endometriosis, PMDD, PMS, amenorrhea, dysmenorrhea, and more.

Why is Caio an acupuncturist?

Caio’s journey into Chinese medicine was inspired by his own personal experience. In his forth year of studying a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery with the intestions of becoming an OB/GYN, a close family member’s health concerns were repeatedly neglected by Western medicine. This deeply personal event motivated Caio to seek a more holistic approach, leading him to make the change into Chinese medicine and acupuncture, where he could directly help his family and others in need.
